Rev. Mac Enfinger comes to us having an exceptional career in the business world. Following being part of founding two specialty chemical companies in the coatings, adhesives, and plastics field, he later worked in the financial industry. In 2002 Mac received his call to full-time ministry. During Mac’s time in seminary, he became certified and employed as a Chaplain for Northside, Scottish Rite & St. Joseph Hospitals; specializing in Oncology, Strokes, as well as working with the Adoption and Addiction centers.
Mac graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Chemistry with a minor in Business Administration in 1976. He later earned his Masters of Divinity Degree from Emory University ‘s Candler School of Theology in 2003, and was later ordained as a full elder in the United Methodist Church in 2007.
Born in Dothan, AL, Mac grew up across the border in the rural South Georgia town of Blakely, GA. His dad is deceased, his mother now lives at Sumter Retirement Home, and he has one brother in Americus, GA.
Mac and his wife Amy have been married for 24 years and were members of Hillside UMC in Woodstock, GA prior to entering full-time ministry serving at Dalton First, Wesley, and Royston First. Amy is a lifelong United Methodist from the southern part of Indiana, Paoli, where her parents still reside. She came to Georgia to attend the Atlanta Intercontinental University where she degreed in Interior Design.
They have two children, Trey (32) and Erinn (31). Trey lives in Evans, Georgia and is married to Rachael. They have three daughters (Claire (6), Presleigh (3), and Millie (7 mo.) They attend Wesley UMC. Trey is an operations manager for Rec-Tec Grills while Rachel is Columbia County’s Event Manager. Erinn is also a UGA graduate. She lives in Sandy Springs (Atlanta), is married to Taylor Camp and has one daughter, Eloise. Erinn is a pharmaceutical representative to Veterinarian Clinics for Merial; Taylor is a sales rep for the Import Car dealer Gravity. They attend Buckhead Church.
